A year ago today, terrorism struck home. A husband and wife shot and killed 14 people and injured 22 in San Bernardino.
It was horrific and repugnant. But it wasn’t the most lethal domestic terrorist event of the past year. Though terrorism remains a rare way to die in America, the first 11 months of 2016 produced more fatalities than any year since 2001.
