Police are investigating multiple red spray-painted swastikas on Long Island as hate crimes after residents reported seeing the offensive messages throughout their neighborhoods.
The slew of reported racist graffiti was found between Nov. 30 and Dec.16 in several Long Island towns that include Mineola and Merrick, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
A sidewalk in front of a Washington Ave. home was vandalized with multiple red swastikas and “Make America White Again” written in black on Nov.30 at 6:30 a.m. The incident could have happened the night before, police said.
